Consequently Modular

The post-graduate Master's study programme in Advanced Safety Sciences for Medicines consists of five individual modules, containing from two to six courses each. All courses have a common format with a workload of 3 ECTS. The regular study time is four semesters in part-time, allowing a participation parallel to job obligations. The lecture part of each individual course is scheduled for one week.

  • The curriculum for the Master study programme requires participation in 10 compulsory and 5 obligatory courses. You need 45 ECTS credit points to successfully complete the programme.
  • The courses of the study programme usually contain a preparative phase, a five days intensive training with lectures and case study work on the course location and a home assignment task on a case study. The total workload per course is calculated as 90 hours, equalling 3 ECTS credit points.
  • In the final master's module you will write your master's thesis (15 ECTS credit points).
  • After you have acquired the total of 60 ECTS credit points, you will be awarded the Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Advanced Safety Sciences for Medicines by the University of Konstanz.
