How to Study & komex Tracks

Short, Compact or Main

All komex and ekomex courses entail 4 contact hours of teaching activities every day. This includes a mixture of lecture-style sessions, applied lab/training sessions, as well as office hours / independent work sessions. In addition, students should plan for sufficient time to do the assigned daily homework and read the assigned literature in advance.

The in-person komex courses take place over a course of three days (compact courses) respectively five days (main courses) from 09.00-14.30h every day (4 contact hours / study day). This includes a mixture of lecture-style sessions, applied lab/training sessions, as well as office hours / independent work sessions:

  • 09:00-10.30h - Course (e.g. lecture)
  • 10:30-11:00h - Break
  • 11:00-12:30h - Course (e.g. lab)
  • 12:30-13:30h - Lunch break
  • 13:30-14:30h - Course (e.g. supervised small group work)

A typical ekomex online course structure would be: 90’ asynchronous materials, 90’ synchronous lab, 60’ independent small group learning / office hour, with a mix of asynchronous and synchronous activities and diverse learning. Please check the course site for the specific timetable of the online course you are interested in (indicative, changes are still possible).

Teaching Language

All courses are taught in English.

komex Tracks

Participants can freely combine different komex courses in a sequence. In particular, we recommend the following tracks for combining komex courses. However, given the intensive workload that come with such a course, it is not possible to take two komex courses in parallel. Please make sure to have the prerequisite knowledge indicated in the description of your course.
